Antagonist / Demon King: Agamemnon invades Thesali.

Legend / Quality of the Hero: Achilles is not there.

Herald: send the boy to look for him.

Meeting the Hero: Achilles in bed.

Time Pressure: they're waiting for you.

Legend of the Hero: they say you're immortal; the son of a Goddess; you cannot be killed.

Elixir / Motivation: that is why you will never be remembered.

A Quality: Achilles arrives.

Hero's Nature: Achilles will only fight for a good cause; to save the lives of many men.

Hero and Demon King Polarization: Agamemnon and Achilles hate each other.

Hero's Capabilities: Achilles easily defeats his opponent.

Middle Cave: Agamemnon and Achilles arrive and take the beach. Both Hector and Achilles psyche up their men.

Inner Cave Warning: Perhaps it is not wise to offend Apollo; Achilles knocks off Apollo's head.

Inner Cave: Achilles and Hector meet.

Celebration at passing the Inner Cave Trial: Achilles applauded for taking the beach; everyone congratulates Achilles.

Romantic Challenge: Achilles meets Polydora in his tent.

Pull to the Belly of the Whale: Agamemno calls Achilles

Beast of the Belly: Agamemnon courted by the kings; he is king of kings.

Physical Separation Marker: Priam seeks advice from his sons and generals; Paris will fight Menelaus

Pushing and Resiting the Physical Separation: Priam thinks love is as good a reason as any to go to war; Hector's wife doesn't want him to fight; Hector stops Paris from escaping

Period of Indecision: Achilles won't fight until Agamemnon begs.

Push Forward / Sacrifical Lamb / Hawks / Foreshadow: Cousin wants to fight.

Physical Separation: the Trojans wait by the wall; Spartans / Mycenaeanians arrive.

Conscious Decision: Hector asks Paris if he's sure he wants to do this; Priam asks Helen to sit by his side.

Resisting / Push to the Trial: Agamemnon agrees to let Paris and Menelaus battle.

Trial 1: Hector defeats Menelaus.

Trial 2: Agamemnon attacks, Hector defeats the big soldier; they push the Spartans back to the sea.

Hero's Nature / Reward: Hector allows the Spartans to bury their dead.

Outer Challenge: Paris knows he is a coward.

Trial 3: Agamemnon angry; persuaded to make peace with Achilles; rescue of Polydora

Reward: Achilles beds Polydora

Meeting the Oracle: Priam trusts the Gods and will attack at daybreak.
